Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use HiveDays. The Service is intended for parents, guardians, and caregivers. By using it, you confirm you meet these requirements and that any information you enter about a child is entered by a responsible adult with authority to do so.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. A household may include multiple members you invite; members you invite can view and manage the household's shared schedule, children, and members according to their role. You are responsible for who you invite. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; upload content you don't have the right to share; attempt to access data of households you don't belong to; interfere with or disrupt the Service; reverse engineer or misuse the app except as permitted by law; or use the Service to harass, harm, or endanger anyone, including children.

HiveDays offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription, HiveDays Plus, on a monthly or annual basis.

• Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings; deleting the HiveDays app or your HiveDays account does not cancel an active Apple subscription.
• Except where required by law or by Apple's policies, payments are non-refundable. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
• We may change subscription features or pricing prospectively; changes will not affect a period you have already paid for.

Promotional or beta access codes, where offered, are for the stated purpose and period, are non-transferable, and have no cash value.

You retain ownership of the content you add to HiveDays (household, children, events, notes, photos you scan). You grant SectorVec a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your household, including processing scanned photos to extract event details. You are responsible for the content you provide and confirm you have the right to provide it.

HiveDays can extract schedule details from photos you provide using automated (AI) processing. This is a convenience feature and may produce inaccurate or incomplete results. Always review extracted events before relying on them. You are responsible for verifying your family's schedule.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR AVAILABLE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECTORVEC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR MISSED EVENTS OR ACTIVITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) CAD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold SectorVec harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content license grants already made, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) survive.

The following applies because you obtain the app through the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and SectorVec, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Your license to use the app is a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the extent any warranty is not effectively disclaimed, Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); otherwise Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, or consumer-protection claims.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
